A Superbike rider has tragically passed away following a crash during qualifying at the North West 200 in Northern Ireland. The incident occurred at Station Corner and prompted an immediate red flag.

Emergency services attended the scene but unfortunately the rider succumbed to his injuries. The event will continue after consultations with the family of the deceased, who remains unnamed at their request.
