Arizona fell 4-2 to No. 11 Kansas on Friday night, extending their losing streak to four games. The Wildcats managed only six hits and went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Kansas starter Dominic Voegele threw a complete game, striking out 15 to secure the victory. Arizona right-hander Owen Kramkowski struck out 11 over five innings but took the hard-luck loss.
Despite the defeat, Kansas improved to 18-4 in Big 12 play. Arizona remains in 12th place in the conference standings, half a game ahead of Texas Tech. The Wildcats face the Jayhawks again Saturday at 12 p.m. PT with right-hander Smith Bailey scheduled to start. lebandit.lat
